Cantor Media Centre and Specialist Technical Spaces and Harmer Creative Media Centre and Specialist Technical Spaces will be closed from 4pm Friday 16th December 2022 and will all re-open 9am Monday 9th January 2023.
Open access spaces will remain open for as long as University buildings are open.
In order for Students to have equipment over the Christmas holiday, they need to fill in the usual Blue Risk Assessment and an additional Christmas Holiday booking form.
Students should only be borrowing equipment over the Christmas Holiday if it is needed for their course work.
The Christmas Holiday Booking form is located with the Risk Assessment Forms. You can access this from Connect 2 homepage:

Please make sure you have sent both the Blue Risk Assessment AND the Christmas Holiday Booking form to your lecturer. Once they have signed of both of these forms, your lecturer should forward BOTH the completed Christmas Booking form and the Risk Assessment on in the usual way to ! Creative Media Risk Assessment inbox, putting the Students name as the title and cc’ing in the student.
Equipment can be collected from stores from 12th December until 16th December and needs to be returned between 9th and 20th of January.
Connect2 won’t allow this length of booking, so please select the latest return date that you are able to. When you come to the Creative media desk to collect your booking you can agree a return date with the CMC technicians.
The Creative Media Centre, Cantor and HPO are open for equipment bookings.
- Equipment loans will remain bookable up to a week in advance and you can now keep equipment for up to 8 days at a time.
Some changes have been introduced:
- All specialist spaces will be kept locked whilst not in use. Please ask at the Creative Media Centre to gain entry.
- Late night access to Computer suites: Monday – Friday 9am-9pm. (Please note the flextight will not be available after 4:30pm)
- Late night access to the Workstation and Photo studios is available: Monday to Thursday 9am-9pm. You must book your slot on Connect 2 and will need a Risk Assessment in order to use the Workstation or Photography studios after 4:30.

All Research kit is now bookable via the Norfolk Connect2 site and must be collected from Norfolk Building.
